Description
The AC adapter collects EIS data over OBD, with the cluster left alone. No disassembly and no plugging in and out, which is the part of Mercedes all keys lost work that eats an afternoon.
Collection times differ sharply by chassis, and the W246 is the outlier. Plan the job around the figure below rather than assuming twelve minutes.
Chassis and collection times
- W221, EIS model 216: 12 minutes
- W221, EIS model 211: 9 minutes
- W209, EIS model 209: 9 minutes

- W251, EIS model 164905: 12 minutes
