Privacy policy

This page explains what we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what an order and a working shop need, we keep it no longer than we have to, and we do not sell it.

What we collect

• Order and account details: what you bought, the amounts, the delivery address, and the contact details you gave us.
• Payment details are handled by an external payment provider. Card numbers are entered on their systems, and we do not receive or store them.
• Messages you send us, so we can answer them and keep a record of what was agreed.
• Technical and usage information: the pages and products you view, the searches you run, the device and browser you use, your IP address and the general area it suggests you are in, and a record of how pages were used, which can include clicks, scrolling and pointer movement.

Cookies and similar technology

We and the providers we use set cookies and similar identifiers to keep your basket working, keep you signed in, measure how the site performs, and understand which pages are useful. Your browser can block or clear these. Parts of the site, the basket in particular, may not work properly if you do.

How we use it

To take and fulfil orders, answer questions, prevent fraud and misuse, meet our legal and tax obligations, decide what to stock, and improve how the site works. Marketing email goes only to people who asked for it, and every message carries an unsubscribe link.

Who else sees it

We share what is needed with the providers who help us run the store: payment processing, delivery, hosting, email, fraud prevention, and analytics and measurement. They may use it to provide that service to us, or as their own terms require of them. We also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell your personal information for money. If you are somewhere that gives you the right to opt out of targeted advertising, or of your information being shared for that purpose, contact us and we will apply it to your details.

Where it is held

The providers we rely on operate in more than one country, so your information may be processed outside the country you are in. Where that happens, we rely on the protections those providers have in place.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept as long as tax, accounting and consumer law require. Messages are kept while they remain useful for handling a return, a warranty question or a dispute. Technical and usage information is kept while it is useful for the purposes above, and is generally reduced or aggregated once it is no longer needed in detail.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Some records we are required to keep, tax records in particular, and we will tell you if that applies to your request. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any message. To make any of these requests, contact us. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on a request.

Children

This site is intended for trade and adult buyers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We update this page when what we do changes. The version published here is the one that applies.
