Installation Tools

A lock that binds or fails to latch is usually a door prep problem rather than a lock problem. The bore is off centre, the faceplate mortise is shallow, or the strike does not line up with the latch once the door is hung.

These tools set that geometry before anything is screwed down: jigs to place the bore, markers to transfer the latch position, and chisels for the faceplate. Each listing says what door thicknesses and backsets it covers.
